  • Represent the collective voice of members, reducing isolation and silo working.
  • Raise the profile of the sector, its groups and communities, with public bodies, funders, and the wider community.
  • Demonstrate the social and economic value of members’ contributions.

Support Local Delivery

  • including advice, administration, and back-office services, when it’s needed most.
  • Collate and maintain a catalogue of services and representation, mapping social value and identifying gaps in provision.
  • Ensure services are relevant, inclusive, and responsive to community needs.

Generate Resources & Capacity

  • Work to secure funding, investment, and sponsorship to strengthen the sector.
  • Develop shared services (e.g., IT, communications, finance, administration).
  • Facilitate access to corporate partnerships and pro bono support.

Foster Sustainability & Resilience

  • Support members to optimise services, avoid duplication, and collaborate effectively.
  • Create opportunities for trading, partnerships, and joint ventures.
  • Strengthen long-term resilience by ensuring members derive tangible value from participation.

Celebrate & Innovate

  • Host inclusive events to showcase diversity, innovation, and community spirit.
  • Encourage co-design and new approaches to addressing local challenges.
  • Bring expertise and creativity that advances the sector into the mainstream.
